“Reinforcing the Resilient Zone,” provides opportunities for students to apply and deepen their understanding of the resilient zone, high zone, and low zone. Through visuals and scenarios, students identify external triggers that can push them out of their resilient zone. They learn to assess and recognize various regulation strategies like tracking, resourcing, grounding, and Help Now! Strategies, which can be used proactively or in-the-moment to return to, or expand, their resilient zone. The overall goal is to build the ability to get “unstuck” from dysregulated states and make more clear-headed decisions.
