introduction
“Developing Holistic Perspective Taking,” guides students in developing holistic perspective-taking skills by analyzing complex issues through the viewpoints of multiple stakeholders. The aim is to help students move beyond their own perspective to understand how different people experience the same system, fostering empathy and leading to more comprehensive solutions. Holistic perspective taking is defined as considering all aspects of a situation or person as parts of a whole, looking at the “big picture”. This practice, an aspect of systems thinking, allows for deeper understanding, better solutions, and the recognition of common humanity across diverse viewpoints.
